  • Up Date

      Well I thought it was about time I update my site.  Our family stays so busy I barely have time to breathe.

    David and I are still remodeling the house.  Hope to have everything done by the end of the year.  Maybe the house market will be better by then and we can sell.  We would love to have a couple of acres to build a house.

    P1010191We are still home schooling.  Paige is enrolled in Liberty Academy.  It's a home school coop where she has classes on Tues and Thurs for instruction and then assignments for the rest of the week at home.  She really likes the social atmosphere.  She is definitely our social child.  She was in a drama class that performed a musical called Coldheartica.  She played a polar bear that liked sardines and saltines.  It's purpose was to teach everyone to have a warm heart for God.  It was so much fun.  I'll post some pictures when I get them.  We hope to put the boys in a few classes next year.

    Birthday boys!  Zack and Cayden seem to stay busy together.  They are pretty big buddies.  Zack is 9 and Cayden is 7.  They spend much of their time on the trampoline and playing video games and any other kind of trouble they can get themselves into.  They both just finished a season of Upward Basketball.  All three of the kids are in Taekwondo.

    085  Zack is still battling his blood condition.  We go to St Jude Children's Hospital at least once a month.  His blood counts have actually started slowly creeping up faster than they used too.  We go for further testing next month.

    I guess my biggest news is that I have started my own business.

    Simple Elegance Weddings by Kristin

    I do custom floral design and decor'.  I have a new xanga site for Simple elegance.  www.xanga.com/simpleelegance08.  I have pictures and such there.  Stop by some time. I did the bridal fair that was at the Don Owens center on Feb 24th.  I had a wonderful time.  I got to talk to so many brides.  It's very excited what the Lord is doing for me with my business.  I hope to be able to do it full time from home.

    Well I guess that is about it for us at the moment.

    Thank you Lord for everyday you give us!

  •    Here are some of the pictures from this weekend.  We stayed at the Basin Park Hotel. Which is suppose to be haunted.  It was built in 1905.

    We took  a tour that told us the history of the hotel and of course all of the ghost stories

    We actually had a weird thing happen in our room.  We had gone up to our room after dinner.  I had laid down on the bed for a minute and pulled the covers over me because it was so cold in the room. David talked me in to going up and playing pool with him.  When we got back the pillows I was laying on were on the floor and looked like someone had tried to push them under the bed.  Our bag that had been up against the wall was in the middle of the floor and the TV was on a different channel.   We didn't know what to think!

    The town is so unique.  With stone sidewalks and very narrow streets. I don't think it hasn't changed that much in the last hundred years.

    It was a wonderful weekend with my wonderful husband.  The Lord blessed me with a great marriage.  Through all of our ups and downs and trails the Lord has given us strength to stay together when we could have just said enough and ended it so many times.  Thank you Lord for your goodness and mercy!

    If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm;

    Though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand

    Psalms 37:23-24

    Have a blessed day!
